Dear Sir,

I know you have had your breakfast with your children. And as you always say Ghanaians have short memory. This is my little piece for you. Please think about it.

As a young Ghanaian and young fresh teacher, I need not to sit down, watch and experience what's going on in my noble country Ghana. I completed school on 16th July, 2014 and was posted to a village in Ahafo Ano South district in Ashanti region on 16th September, 2014. Since then I have not received a pesewa. I still depend on my parents for a living.

I always collect money from them so that I can still offer my knowledge to my innocent pupils. On the 29th day of June my mum called me and told me that our source of living is no more, not knowing that her office(kejetia) has been demolished by KMA (Kumasi Metropolitan Assembly).

From that time all my hopes and aspirations as a young teacher were shattered. My only hope left was my elderly brother, who works as a shop attendant and sometimes manages to offer me something to feed myself so that I can also help my innocent pupils.

He just called me and told me he has been sacked by his boss all because of the increase in water, fuel and electricity tariffs.

How will I survive.

All my dreams are vanishing.

No pay for me.

No work for my mum.

No work for my brother.

All we have is our voters id.

But am praying no thief will steal it.

Ghetto youths must arise.

Fosu Abraham (a young teacher)
