Axim Hails Mrs. Charlotte Osei As New EC Chair

The chiefs and people of Axim in the Nzema East Municipality in the Western Region have hailed the appointment of Mrs. Charlotte Osei as the new chairperson of the Electoral Commission.

According to the citizenry of Axim her appointment is indeed a call in the right direction since it will serve as an inspiration for the youth especially young girls to aim for the best in all their various endeavours.

In an official release issued by a group calling itself Network for Axim Development (NADEV) in the Nzema East Municipality of the Western Region and signed by its convener Egya Adu called on Mrs. Osei who hails from the area to remain focus and discharge her duties neutrally.

The President was also commended for the honour by appointing one of the area's illustrious daughters and called on him to focus his attention on some developmental projects in the Western Region.

It was a great joy and honour for the Chiefs and people of Axim and its environs when the President through his Chief of Staff announced your new position as the Electoral Commissioner on Thursday June 25th, 2015. Indeed your appointment as the new chairperson has given us the hope that indeed our dear town and district is capable and endowed with such productive human resources.

We do recognise that Mrs Charlotte Osei is a well-known daughter from Axim in the Western Region and a fair minded Ghanaian who has distinguished herself in rendering selfless and dedicated services in both the public and private sectors of our dear nation.

With her enormous and enviable records of successes chalked during her previous positions she has served, we have no doubt that you will excel to make a distinguished performance for Ghana in the dispensation of her duties as the new chairperson. We also believe that your new appointment will continue to serve as a source of inspiration for the youth in Axim to aim high and go in for the best in all endeavours.

Members of Network for Axim Development and the entire citizenry of Western Region are therefore delighted with this appointment of Mrs Charlotte Osei and thank His Excellency the President and his able team for the confidence posited in one of our own.
