Guinness Ghana Breweries Limited (GGBL) has announced that Peter Waititu Ndegwa will be leaving his position as managing director for GGBL effective 20th July 2015.

He will subsequently take up a new chief executive officer position with Guinness Nigeria Plc., another Diageo subsidiary.

Peter was appointed managing director of GGBL in September 2011 when he joined the business from East Africa Breweries Limited.

He has ably overseen a complete restructure of GGBL despite very challenging external operating conditions, said a statement by the total beverage producer.

Peter holds an MBA from the London Business School and a Bachelor’s degree from the University of Nairobi and is also a qualified accountant.

Peter is a highly effective and accomplished business leader with a proven track record in strategic and commercial leadership spanning over 20 years. He excels in orchestrating strategic change, driving organizational and team alignment and building momentum around business priorities and delivering superior business results.

Peter leverages both his ‘natural’ authenticity and strong diverse experience across a set of functional areas (strategy, sales, finance, consulting) to create impetus in organisations and teams.

He has been particularly successful in creating highly engaged teams and organizations.

His successor is yet to be named.
