Hon. Joe Amenowode Incurs Wrath Of Volta Youth

We the intelligent youths of Afadzato south (IYAs) district of the Volta region is asking the executive body of NDC to humbly advice Hon. Joe Amenowode not to contest for the fourth time.

The MP promised in 2012 that he won’t contest for the fourth time in 2016 but all of a sudden we heard hints that he will be contesting again. This is a breach of promise. However, about 99% of the people in Afadzato south said the MP had done his bit and that it is time to give another person a chance. We pledge him that he loses miserably if indeed he’s seeking re-election.

Under his tenure of office the district hasn't had its fair and compulsory share of the national cake. He also failed to fulfill his promises made during 2004, 2008 and 2012 campaign periods. In addition there is no program that you will invite our MP that he honors.

We don’t want to believe he is adopting the dead goat syndrome because of his strength in buying delegates. He's aware that, as soon as you are able to buy the delegates you have won the elections. As a result, he is not accountable to anybody. Vote buying is a mega style he adopts during years and is preparing for same. In fact, the delegates must bow their heads in shame and be blame for our woes. In this regard, we are calling strongly on the NDC to expand the Electoral College since only nine delegates from each branch that vote.

Moreover, we only see our MP only during campaign periods. This time around the people of Afadjato constituency says enough, in fact, we are tired of you, just step down in peace.

We are warning the executives NDC to advice him not to contest or we will device our own mechanism to let him step down.

We are giving the NDC up to 6th July, 2015 to say something reasonable. After the said date exceeds we we promise to cause the NDC lose most of its seat in the Volta region.

Hon. JZ we are sorry to inform you that you’ve exhausted the trust we have for you.
