Four Beposo citizens who were among about 200 people who lost their lives in the June 3 Accra flood and fire incident were laid to rest on Saturday june 27 at Beposo in the Sekyere Central District.

The four victims, Kwasi Duku 42,Joseph Kwadwo Boakye,26, Kwaku Tawiah ,23 and Augustine Boamah,26 who were all selling carpet in Accra were conveyed to Beposo in the early hours of Saturday,June27,and were laid in state for the final funeral rites after burial at the public cemetery.

Kennedy Agyemang, 25, the fifth person whose body was badly disfigured could not be conveyed to Beposo for burial, according to Miss Janet Donkor, the sister of the deceased

Mr Peter Anarfi Mensah.Ashanti Regional Minister,on behalf of the President,donated 10,000 Ghana Cedis each to the families of the four deceased .He said the government did not know that the fifth person was a native of Beposo and advised the family to contact the Member of Parliament for the area, Mr Kwame Asafu-Adjei for the necessary action.
