Scores of workers of the Ghana Youth Employment and Entrepreneurial Agency (GYEEDA) have massed up at the offices of the Agency demanding an immediate halt in an ongoing recruitment process.

The workers numbering about 30 are accusing outgoing National Coordinator of GYEEDA Kobby Acheampong of trying to fill the non-existent vacancies with his cronies before he leaves office.

Joy News' Felix Akoyam has sighted a copy of a letter written by national coordinator to the minister of Youth and Employment informing him about the recruitment.

Among the reasons cited for the new recruitments are deaths, transfer of workers, dismissals etc.

However the angry workers numbering about 30 insists no one has died nor has been transferred from the office.

They claim the recruitment process is being done without the knowledge of the Human Resource manager at GYEEDA.

Some of the workers also claim they have not been paid for months and do not see why new recruitments will be done.

The workers are in red armbands and are standing at vantage points of the GYEEDA offices.

The HR boss has since confirmed to Akoyam that he is not aware of the recruitment process.

The incoming National Coordinator Vincent Kuagbenu has assured the workers that the recruitment process will be cancelled.

The GYEEDA module is no stranger to scandals having already been suffered many corruption allegations.

Two officials of the module, Philip Assibit and former national coordinator Abuga Pele are currently in court over misappropriation of funds.
