Vienna City supports disaster victims

Accra, June 17, GNA - Management of Vienna City has donated assorted items to families and surviving victims of the flood and fire disaster that occurred on June 3 at the Kwame Nkrumah Circle.

The items included drinks, water, cooking oil, and rice, among others, worth thousands of Ghana cedis.

Mr Ben Okai, Managing Director of Vienna City, made the presentation and expressed the hope that the items would mitigate the impact of the disaster on the victims.

Mr. Okai said the company deemed it necessary to reach out to the families because they were neighbours and it was very important to provide help with some relief items.

'This could have happened to anybody anywhere so we need to support them in every aspect. Corporate Ghana needs to also extend a hand of support at these trying moments to support the victims,' he noted.

He gave the assurance that his outfit would visit victims who were still on admission at the various hospitals and support them.

Some of the victims expressed gratitude to the company for coming to their aid, and said the company had proven to be a good neighbour.
