E-Crime Bureau Inaugurates Board Of Directors

Cyber security and digital forensics firm, e-Crime Bureau, outdoor will oudoor its Board of Directors at a ceremony at the Kofi Annan International Peacekeeping Training Centre (KAIPTC) on Friday, June 12.

The highlight of the event will be a Presentation on “The State of Cybercrime and Cyber security in Ghana” to be delivered by African internet pioneer and Board Chairman of the National Information Technology Agency (NITA), Prof. Nii Narku Quaynor.

The keynote speech will be delivered by Hon. Dr. Edward Omane Boamah, Minister of Communications.

The presentation will unearth various issues of concern to corporate organisations and individuals. Prof. Quaynor is the first African winner of the prestigious Jonathan B. Postel Service Award from the Internet Society for his pioneering work in advancing the Internet in Africa and was also inducted into the Internet Hall of Fame in August 2013 for his pioneering role in the development of the Internet in Africa.

The nine-member board is chaired by Mr. D.K. Mensah, Chief Executive Officer of the Ghana Association of Bankers. Members of the board include Dr. Adu Anane-Antwi, Director-General of the Securities and Exchange Commission. Other members include accomplished and serving military and police officers and academics.

Since its establishment in 2011, e-Crime Bureau has emerged as a sub-regional industry leader with experience across Africa and beyond. Apart from cyber security and digital forensics services, e-Crime Bureau has also supported organizations and stakeholders in the area of financial crime management, anti-money laundering, cash handling, forensic audit and documents counterfeit detection among others.
