Mp Advice General Public About National Sanitation Day

The Member of Parliament for Prestea Huni Valley, Honorable Francis Blay Koffie has given advice to the general public especially people of Bogoso in the Prestea-Huni Valley District to embrace the national sanitation clean-up exercise organized in every month in the municipality.

He said sanitation is very paramount in every country and therefore needs attention from the public to sustain it.

Honorable Blay made this known at the clean-up exercise held at Bogoso Township to clean the filth as well as to de-silt the gutters choked with refused in the area.

Notwithstanding, The Deputy Western Regional Minister, Honorable Ekow Gyan, also appealed to the people of Bogoso to promote good hygienic condition in the area to prevent uncontrolled disease.

He said everyone should be a watchdog to each other to see to it that no one throws rubbish into gutters which can lead to mayhem

The Deputy Western Regional Minister in his remark said for us to avoid the tragic incidence that occurred in Accra, there is the need for us to desist from throwing rubbish into gutters.

The national sanitation day which was supposed to be slated on 6thJune was held on Friday, May 5th as a result of Saturday market day in the area.

Some of the distinguish personalities available were Deputy Western Regional Minister,Hon Ekow Gyan, the Mp for the area, Hon kwesi BLAY, the DCE Hon Joseph Cudjoe and the deputy minister for local government, Hon Nii Lantey Vanderpuye.
