Tears Of My Motherland

I go to bed and all i wake up to are cries, not of joy but cries of sorrow

Cries of people who Nature ha s given a second chance to live life

I know that those who couldn't make it wished they could borrow

But Nature did’nt give them that chance so they had to visit their Creator at a very tender and premature stage of their life

Its quite pathetic that the human being who takes so much time in preparing the skin for the next days activities with all the nice body creams you can think of is burnt to ashes

Just because of some electric touches leading to an inevitable end

Those who are always in the shower taking their baths and sometimes playing with it just because they think its fun have today come to experience a much more powerful shower that doesn’t know elderly nor does it know the younger ones

Some of them wished that they should have been on top of the highest tower

But unfortunately they happened to be the ones that nature took away

I wake up and i all i can see on T.V are dead bodies of people who are just like you and I but the only difference is that you are still alive and they are dead and gone forever

What wrong have they done for Nature to treat them this way

What errors did they make for nature to treat them this way

What promises did they fail to fulfill for nature to treat them this way

The Asante’s say that ‘ONIPA NY3 HWIIIIII’

That the human being is nothing and yes indeed the human being is nothing

Because even if you clime the highest fountain,death will surely come to you

I’m sure that all these people had plans for the next day to put a smile on their faces and the faces of the others

But were they sentenced by a court with orders?
Or were they just unfortunate?
People who left their personal dealings to save some lives were also caught up in this tragedy and such people are indeed heroes for they were selfless in the strive to save mankind and they were fortunate enough they died with good intentions

I have no silver nor gold to offer the families of the deceased people

I have no schnapps nor ‘akpet’ to offer the families of the deceased people

I have no money nor kola nut to offer the families of the deceased people

All i have is a word of motivation that this is not the end even if the person who died was your everything

That this the beginning of life and all these happening are challenges that one has to face one’s in a life time.

And if you don’t give up and keep striving hard, you eventually gonna achieve your goals even without your everything by your side

This is a challenge that nature has posed to us and how best we manage to over come this challenge will determine our future as a Nation

May the souls of All the people who lost their lives in Today’s flood and fire outbreak rest in perfect peace and may the Good Lord console the families of these departed souls.
