Board Chairman of Manya Krobo Rural Bank, Benjamin Apo, has stated the bank's plans to spend 5% of their profit on their social responsibility within their operational areas to cover more wards of shareholders, customers as well as the needy.

He was speaking at the 34th annual general meeting of the bank held at Odumase- Krobo in the lower manya krobo district.

"Several donations and sponsorships were made to various individuals and orgations including supporting upper manya, yilo krobo, lower manya krobo, Ga east, Adentan and Ashaiman municipalities during farmers' day celebrations, orientation of newly trained teachers whiles the bank also supported the 2nd round of national poliomyelities immunisation programme" he stated.

Mr. Apo said the bank made a profit after tax of 1,083,695 cedis last year as compared to 698,393 cedis in 2013 which represents 55.64%. He said total assets of the bank also increased by29.33% from 22,692,591 cedis in 2013 to 29,349,092 cedis in 2014.

He emphasised that 'war' on loan recovery is still on course as some recoveries have been made but he however appealed to loan defrauters especially shareholders to pay back their loans to avoid any embarrassment.

Mr. Benjamin commended the management and staff for their hardwork and dedication to the success of the bank and also showed gratitude to both customers and shareholders for their loyalty and patronage.
