Ajumako-Anyinasu (C/R), May 29, GNA - Mr Reginald Mensah, International Operation Director for 'Restore Africa Health and Sanitation,' a US-based Non-Governmental Organization, on Friday donated hospital equipment/clothing, childrens' library books, and assorted shoes, valued at 72,000 dollars, to the Chief of Ajumaku-Anyinasu in the Central Region, for onward distribution to the Ajumako-Anyinasu Clinic, pupils and farmers in the area.

Additionally, the NGO donated clothing, childrens' library books and assorted shoes to pupils and farmers in the area.

The items all valued at 72,000 dollars were received by the chief of the town for onward distribution to the beneficiaries.it is the only clinic built in 2006, the School Pupils and Farmers within the area.

Speaking during the presentation, Mr. Reginald Mensah said the items were a donation from Buckner Family from Dallas and Josh Willis Family from Texas in the United States of America to help Ghanaians in the hinterland to enhance their healthcare and education.

In an interview wih GNA, Mr. Reginald Mensah said 46 boxes contained srynges, drips, theatre.

Uniforms, gloves, clutches etc for the local clinic that caters for the inhabitants.

He added that there were 22 boxes which contained various sizes of shoes ranging from children to adults for distribution to the school pupils in the village while 27 boxes of children's library books were to be used to start a library for the kids in the primary.

He also pledged to solicit funds for the construction of a beffiting library for the village school by the close of the year.

Receiving the items, the traditional chief of the Ajumako-Anyinasu, Nana Asiam III, thanked Mr. Mensah and the donors from America for helping them especially for their healthcare needs.

The chief reminded the kids to read all the books that have been donated to the Ajumaku-Anyinasu Primary and Junior High Schools. He asked for God's blessings to him and the donors.
