Mrs Oko who is accredited with the designing of the Ghana National flag and the first female President of the Ghana Hockey Association was born on June 13, 1922 and died on April 20, 2015.

Despite the early heavy rains, the funeral of Mrs Okoh attracted influential people in the country such as President John Dramani Mahama, Vice President Paa Kwesi Amissah Arthur, Speaker of Parliament, Doe Ajaho, former President Jerry John Rawlings and wife, Nana Konadu Agyeman Rawlings.

Members of Parliament, Heads of Security Agencies, and members of the Diplomatic Corps well also in attendance.

Those who laid the wreath include Vice President Amissah Arthur on behalf of Government and the people of Ghana, Dr Mrs Sylvia Boye on behalf of Ridge Church and Mr Kwesi Okoh on behalf of the children.

The rest were Mr Richard Akokavi, on behalf of the Ghana Hockey Association and Madam Janet Esekou, on behalf of Agogo Girls (formally Basel Mission Girls School).
