3 for World Forum

Three Ghanaians from the Global Shapers Community in Ghana will be representing the country at the World Economic Forum on Africa 2015 scheduled to take place in Cape Town, South Africa from June 3-5, 2015.

They include Emmanuel Gamor (Accra Hub), Kow Essuman (Accra Hub) and Rosalin Abigail Kyere-Nartey (Kumasi Hub).

The theme for this year's forum, which marks 25 years of change in Africa, is dubbed: 'Then and Now: Reimagining Africa's Future'.

The 25th World Economic Forum on Africa will convene regional and global leaders from business, government and civil society to take stock of progress over the last 25 years, share insights on the present landscape and identify innovative approaches to accelerate inclusive growth while bringing about sustainable development in the future.

Emmanuel, Kow and Rosalin were invited to represent the Global Shapers Community, and in particular, their respective Hubs in various ways at the forum. As Global Shapers, they were invited based on their proven track record and their ability to participate effectively in the discussions that will take place at the forum. The Global Shapers Community is an initiative of the World Economic Forum and a network of Hubs developed and led by young people who are exceptional in their potential, their achievements and their drive to make a contribution to their communities.

Emmanuel
Emmanuel is a multimedia journalist and online engagement guru and has worked with multi-national companies such as Nestle, Millicom, Samsung and Google. As a YouTube specialist, he curates Ghana's content creators' community.

Kow
Kow is a lawyer with the top law firm, Bentsi-Enchill, Letsa & Ankomah. He has been admitted to practise law in three different jurisdictions - England and Wales, New York and Ghana.

Rosalin
Rosalin is a Hospitality and Tourism Consultant with extensive experience in tourism and hospitality management, programme development and disaster management.

The three Shapers are keen on attending the forum and hope to participate fully in all events while there. Speaking on the MPWR Show on Y107.9FM on Sunday, May 24, 2015, the Ghanaian Shapers stated that they hope to learn a lot from the forum and return home with practical solutions to make an impact on their societies.

Other Ghanaians attending the forum include Vice President Paa Kwesi Amissah-Arthur, Foreign Minister, Hanna Tetteh, Trade Minister, Dr Ekwow Spio-Garbrah, Agric Minister, Fifi Kwetey, social innovator, entrepreneur, writer and researcher, Bright Simmons and CEO of Ecobank Group, Mr Albert Essien.
