Kumasi(Ash) May 27_Pensioners Medical Scheme (PMS) for Social Security and National Insurance Trust(SSNIT) National pensioners Association to take off in June 1, 2015.
Mr. Hubert Adarkwa Tuffour , Ashanti Regional Vice Chairman of the Association said this in Kumasi on May 27 during the monthly meeting of the Kumasi District branch of the Association at the Kumasi culture center.
He said Liberty Insurance company which has been selected by the Association to operate the scheme will spend Ghc 4000(four thousand Ghana cedis)annually on each member medical bill which will cover diseases like diabetes,arithritis,hypertension,prostrate,ear,eye,throat infection and physiotherapy.
He explained that members are to contribute Ghc 48 (Forty Eight Ghana cedis) each annually to finance the scheme and in case of any medical bill above Ghc4000,the beneficiary is to pay the excess amount.
