Health MOH distributes 120 vehicle to health institution

Accra, May 27, GNA - The Ministry of Health on Wednesday presented 120 Nissan Pickup vehicles worth $3.36 million to some government health service delivery organisations across the country.

Seventy-six out of the 120 vehicle would be presented to training institutions.

Some of the beneficiary health institutions are the Sunyani Nursing Training School, Tanoso Community Health Training School, Tepa Midwifery Training School, Kumasi Nursing and Midwifery and Keta Nursing Training School.

Others are the Ghana Health service, Nurses and Midwifery Council, the Food and Drugs Authority and the Pharmacy Council.

Mr Alex Segbefia, Minister of Health, speaking at the presentation, said the vehicles, which had been given to the beneficiaries on high purchase, would enable them to carry out their duties effectively.

'The provision of these vehicles will enable the beneficiary institutions to deliver very well on their mandate,' he said.

Receiving the ceremonial key on behalf of the beneficiaries, Mr Christopher Bayere, Head of Training, Ministry of Health, expressed his appreciation to the Ministry for the gesture and appealed for buses to convey them as they go for their clinicals.
