Ho, May 26, GNA - Kris Kwame Atta Pappoe, 68, the first Volta Regional Secretary of the National Democratic Congress (NDC), would be laid to rest on Saturday at Adaklu-Kpetsu, near Ho.
The former Public Relations Officer (Government Relations) of the International Hospital Group, UK and Ghana, died on February 27 this year, after a short illness, a family source told the Ghana News Agency.
Mr Pappoe, popularly known as C.I.D, was the Executive Director, Inter-Universe Holdings, and a founding member of the NDC.
He facilitated the construction of Regional Hospitals in the Central and Volta Regions, and participated in the drafting of the 1992 Republican Constitution.
A tribute from the NDC described him as an orator par excellence.
