Enough Is Enough! Nana Akufo Addo Must Promote Peace And Not Divisions

Our attention has been drawn to an emerging Coup D'état that is been orchestrated by our Presidential Candidate, Nana Akufo Addo and some national officers and regional chairmen. They are determined in their unlawful pursuit of removing our current National Chairman, Mr. Paul Awentami Afoko and General Secretary, Kwabena Agyei Agyepong from their respective high office of our great party.

It is even more disheartening to note that, they have chosen the path of self-destruction by intensifying their efforts in exploiting the gruesome murder of Mahama Adams for political mischief and personal vendetta.

We do not wish to belabour the point by chronicling events which occurred before, during and after the Tamale congress. It is an open secret that our Presidential Candidate has made remarks to the effect that he does not trust and wish to work with our National Chairman and General Secretary for reasons best known to him. True to his words, all efforts to get the trio to cooperate and work together have always been frustrated by his handlers.

We would like to remind all those behind this grand scheme who are bent on removing our National Chairman and General Secretary of the impending danger and consequences thereof. They must decide whether they want to remove President Mahama or Paul Afoko and Kwabena Agyepong.

Is it not ironic that instead of closing our ranks to achieve the ultimate, others have decided to engage in shenanigans? It is however justifiable to ask these important questions below:

1. What are the real motives behind their intended removal?

2. Why an interview was hurriedly arranged for one Boya who resides at Nima and was made to impersonate and speak as a sister of the late Mahama Adams in order to make scandalous accusations against the National Chairman and General Secretary?

3. Has the Police service indicted Chairman Afoko and Kwabena Agyepong of murder in any report?

4. Why do they want to stampede the investigations been conducted by the Police?

5. Is it part of the scheme to remove Afoko and Kwabena so they can get their cronies to take charge?

6. Is it about the control and handling of campaign resources?

We want to state unequivocally that any attempt to remove these two national officers will be resisted with all our might. We wish to implore the security agency to be firm and fair in their investigation and must immediately invite all persons who have made wild allegations to substantiate their claims.

We call on Nana Akufo Addo to show leadership, promote unity through deeds and not words, and focus on kick starting his campaign for the 2016 elections which is only about 18 months away.

In conclusion, we accordingly urge all party faithful and officials to respect the memory of Mahama Adams and not to allow themselves to be used by those who seek to divide the party for their personal gains.
