Stonebwoy Burniton Is The King Of Dancehall Music In Ghana!

Shatta Wale professes to be the dancehall king in Ghana, but Stonebwoy Burniton acts as Ghana´s dancehall king! This article actually seeks to answer my first dancehall article: ´´Can Dancehall Music Be Sustained In Ghana´s Music Industry? ´´ In that article, I found it premature to answer this simple but dicey question. But I am more than convinced now to answer that question with this article.

Moreover, Stonebwoy Burniton, a dancehall artiste par excellence is undoubtedly the definition of dancehall music in Ghana today. Even the critics of Stonebwoy would admit in their mischief that Stonebwoy´s dancehall music is certainly at par with Jamaican dancehall. Indeed, his rhythm, flow, diction, language and lines are all of higher quality with exception.

Also, Stonebwoy, whose real name is Livingstone Etse Satekla, a proud Voltarian and the CEO of Burniton Music Group, has proven beyond doubt that he can sustain dancehall music in Ghana. No wonder he has been awarded the VGMAs 2014/2015 Artiste of the Year, and he had a nomination in the Best International Act (Africa) category in the upcoming BET Awards.
