Kumasi, May 23, GNA - Mrs Grace Opoku-Onyinah, the wife of the Chairman of the Church of Pentecost, Apostle Dr Opoku-Onyinah, has urged Ghanaian women to impact their generation with Christian values to promote peace and development in the country.

Mrs Opoku Onyinah was speaking at a Womens' Fellowship meeting dubbed 'Women, being good stewards of God in their generation', at an Area Women Fellowship of the Bompata Church of Pentecost in Kumasi.

She spoke on the theme, 'Occupy till I come' taken from Luke 19:13.

The woman of God expressed worry at the current high rate of crime in the country, which she believes should not be the situation, since Christians formed about 70% per cent of Ghana's population.

She called on women to diligently and responsibly play their roles of nurturing children, moulding their character and attitudes whiles also inculcating in them good moral values to help them become good adults in future.

Mrs Opoku Onyinah said this can help stem crime to a very large extent to protect the prevailing peaceful environment needed for economic development in the country.

'As stewards of your children, family, and society, you would account for their stewardship', she reminded the women, and advised the them to shun feminine wiles and other negative tendencies such as idle lifestyles, which bred gossiping, backbiting and slander and instead embrace charity, prayer and intercession for the needy.
