FONAA Institute-USA calls for justice for Mahama Adams

FONAA Institute-USA expresses its heartfelt condolences to the entire family of the late Upper East Regional Chairman of the New Patriotic Party (NPP), the party in general and the good people of Ghana.

May the soul of such an industrious and an exemplary leader of the great elephant fraternity rest in perfect peace.

This marks one of the dark times in the history of Ghana and FONAA Institute-USA condemns this barbaric, gruesome, heinous and such act of cowardice in the strongest possible terms following the news of the untimely and unfortunate death of Mahama Adams

At this stage, we call on the government of Ghana and the state security apparatus of our nation as a matter of urgency to foster in place thorough and precise investigation into the issue at stake in rendering all the perpetrators to face the full rigors of the law. This is a national security issue since if it is not handled well, it could escalate into other arenas that could threaten the entire democratic credentials of our dear country.

In addition to the ongoing investigations by the security apparatus, it is also imperative that the NPP conducts its own private inquiry to holistically get to the bottom of the subject matter.

With former President John Agyekum Kuffour being a past leader of our country and one of the elders of the NPP, FONAA Institute-USA would request and appreciate his assistance in ensuring that all individuals who are behind this shameful and criminal act would be brought to justice.

Mr. Mahama Adams was a patriot and a selfless leader who sacrificed his all for the betterment of Ghana as a nation. Ghana has indeed, lost one of its dedicated ones.

In spite of the ongoing investigation, after assessing all the happenings in culmination with other dynamics and the fact that Mr. Paul Afoko’s brother has been overtly fingered in the entire criminal act, FONAA institute-USA is of the strongest view that the honorable thing for the National Chairman of the NPP (Mr. Paul Afoko) to do is for him to step aside. In addition to other rights that this will serve, it will also pave way for holistic internal investigation to be carried out successfully. It is just the right thing to do.

The New Patriotic Party has been the pacesetter in regards to the deepening of the democratic credentials of our dear nation.

Finally, if it gets to the level whereby foreign investigators are needed, FONAA Institute-USA will exert its unflinching support in this regards.

FONAA-Institute-USA is well instituted to ensure the deepening of the democratic credentials of Ghana and hence wishes to advise the youth to desist from acts that could ruin their lives and impact negatively on the image of Ghana regardless of the height of the influence that is exerted on them.

May the good God protect us as a nation and guide us!
