Ghana's King of Comedy, DKB has advised participants of the power crisis vigil dubbed, #DumsorMustStop to refrain from coming to the venue with any political party colours which comes off tonight with a walking distance from Old Legon Gate Bridge to Tetteh Quarshie Park, Accra at 4pm.

According to him, “as already announced, the dress code for the vigil is all black, therefore whoever comes to the vigil premises with any political party colours will have her or himself to blame as the security will be on the look out for partisan-minded persons or groups.”

“Although the vigil has already been tagged as a politically-inspired means to ‘black’ soil the ruling government; we don’t have any course to add up or prove to the hovering perception, hence the caution,” he presaged.

Adding, “the challenges that has come in series when the #DumsorMustStop vigil was announced, is enough to welcome anymore issues especially not with the citizens dressed as partisans at the vigil; when in fact, it is a national course against the crisis.”

Elaborating on the essence of the all black dress code and various source of light for the #DumSor (lights Off and On) vigil; DKB indicated, “the black dresses is to signify the darkness alias #Dum/ #fuie3/#oooooh that majority of the citizenry experience for days from Mr #Dum at ECG (Electricity Company of Ghana) offices in our various communities.”

“While the various light sources including the candles, lanterns, ‘bobos’ etc represents the light source we use when the power is taken. Further more to express the relegation of the ordinary Ghanaians right to electricity to usage of these light forms,” he noted.

The #DumsorMustStop vigil is lead by actress Yvonne Nelson and supported by Barima Sidney, Confidence, D-Black, Efya, K. Elliot Lydia Forson, Prince David Osei, Ama K. Abebrese, and Van Vicker among other celebrities as well as all interested Ghanaians.

#DumSorMustStop vigil is the first ever power crisis vigil to be held in Ghana.
