The Wa East NDC Constituency Executives are calling for the head of the District Chief Executive (DCE), Abudu Abdul-Karimu over allegations of gross incompetence, financial embezzlement and anti-NDC activities.

The Executive comprising both constituency and branch executives are calling on His Excellency the President, John Dramani Mahama to immediately release Hon. Abudu Abdul – Karimu from his position as District Chief Executive for Wa East to give hope to the masses and to avoid any anomic riots and violent demonstrations.

“If the District Chief Executive for Wa East is not immediately release from his position things will go out of control,” they appealed to the Presidency.

Hon. Kuri Suglo, the constituency secretary of the NDC wing at a news conference asked for the immediate dismissal of the District Chief Executive for Wa East, Hon. Abudu Abdul-Karimu based on such an allegation that he refused to honour the invitation by eminent chiefs and opinion leaders of Yaro, Sahel, Manwe, Duu, Chaggu, Kende and many others in their communities to curve ways for the progressive development of the District.

Since his appointment as DCE, the NDC Constituency Secretary noted that DCE has not made any mandatory familiarization tour of the District up to date.

“How can you rule people who do not know you? When asked by the Executive to visit the communities his reply is always he has busy schedules in the office and no money to go round,” he intimated.

Hon. Kuri Suglo is appealing to President Mahama to dismiss the DCE immediately because the DCE has failed to show transparency and accountable to the people in the District.

He alleged that the DCE upon assumption of office up to date has failed to account to the constituents on what the District Assembly Common Fund has been used for.

According to him, as soon as District Assembly Common Funds arrives the DCE moves both his “office and residency” to a hotel in Wa and from one drinking spot to another dissipating the state funds on quaffs.

The NDC youth wing together with the chiefs and opinion leaders have shown their displeasure over President Mahama and the NDC government for delay in axing the DCE from office because of his constant dealings with the NPP youths wings, a true revelation that the DCE is anti-NDC.

Hon. Kuri Suglo alleged that the DCE has mounted sheds for members of the NPP in Funsi the District capital and engaged the services of an NPP member as his official driver.

According to him, in 2015 revenue mobilization year, and because there were no Assembly the District Chief Executive constituted a revenue Taskforce comprising members of the New Patriotic Party.

Notwithstanding, this led several 1000’s of monies been missing, he connived with the revenue collectors to embezzled over twenty five thousand Ghana cedis (GH¢ 25,000.00) in 2014 revenue collection year.

The Secretary of the NDC youth wing added that the DCE constant refusal to attend very important funerals in the District has put him in bad books and therefore he must be sacked.
