Effective communication plays a vital role in every organisation, institution and every sphere of human endeavours in modern society.

This is why communicators are mostly regarded as the official mouthpiece of the institutions they represent.

As a result,a day workshop has been organised for membersof the NDC communication team in the Cape Coast North Constituency to enhance their communication skills.

Mr Isaac Kingsley Edzii, NDC communication officer for the Cape Coast North constituency, organised the workshop for the communicators within the constituency.

Giving the purpose for the workshop, Mr Edzii stated that, “it is to empowerthe communication officers to be able to communicate well without peddling falsehood, rancour or any acrimony”.

“The better Ghana agenda is going on and we as communicators are expected to talk about it. We therefore don’t need to insult on radio or pass any unnecessary comments hence this workshop”. He continued.

He noted that, though the NDC government is working hard to better the lot the masses, the party’s communicators have failed to propagate, communicate or tell the story to the people.

This situation, he said, has led to the peddling of falsehood by members of the opposition parties that the government led by President Mahamais doing nothing for Ghanaians who voted him to power.

Mr Edzii therefore charged the participants to take the lesson seriously so that they would be equipped with good communication skills to enable them communicate well to the electorates.

Director of elections of the NDC, Mr Bede Zedene and Professor Kwaku Danso Boafo, former minister of health in the Rawlings regime, took turns to address the participants.

Communications expert, Dr Kaakra Yalley took the participants through the workshop.
