DEPUTY MINISTER of Interior, James Agaga, is in hot waters as his seat as NDC Member of Parliament (MP) for Builsa North in the Upper East Region has come under siege.

Listowell Yesu Bukarson, Ashanti Regional Chairman of the GJA, who is an aspirant in the upcoming NPP primaries in Builsa North, is said to be causing nightmarish moments for the sitting MP.

The popularity of the GJA chairman in the area, according to reports monitored by DAILY GUIDE, cuts across the NPP and NDC, as majority of people in the area see him as the best person to transform the constituency as MP.

The people in the constituency, who are hankering for massive development to take place in their localities, believe that Listowell's brand, influence and international connections can help their course.

Already, the 412 NPP delegates in the constituency are said to have concluded that Listowell, who is an astute journalist of international repute, is their preferred candidate in the party polls.

The delegates, sources hinted, have realised that defeat for the NPP in the area in 2016 would cause massive embarrassment for the party, especially Paul Afoko, the party chairman, who hails from that constituency.

The NPP delegates who are determined to snatch the hot seat from the NDC in 2016, reportedly convinced Listowell, who is a loyal NPP member, to contest the polls since they have confidence in him to win the seat for the NPP.

Agnes Asangaliisa Chigabatia, the first and only former NPP MP for Builsa North, is said to have noticed the exceptional qualities in Listowell and has personally initiated a vigorous campaign for the GJA boss.

According to sources, Madam Chigabatia, who is an ex-Upper East Regional Chairman of the NPP, has resolved that she will do everything possible to help the NPP win the Builsa North seat in 2016.

The NPP capo, who wields a lot of respect among the NPP faithful in the constituency, believes that with Listowell as NPP candidate, the Builsa North seat will definitely fall to the NPP come 2016.
