One of Ghana’s most prestigious Catholic educational institutions, Christ the King (CTK) Internationals School will celebrate its 60th anniversary next year.

The celebration will be under the theme “60 years of holistic Catholic education towards the development of Ghana” with a grand durbar in July, 2016 to climax the occasion.

A programme line up for the year-long celebrations has been released by the organizing committee and it will commence with a health walk and Family Fun Day in June this year with a talk/debate set for September.

The outline also includes a theatre and carols night in November as well as a nostalgia night and homecoming dinner for past students/other stakeholders of the institution in December.

An unveiling of a bust for a Founders Day event will come off in January next year where the contributions of heroes of the past would be recognized and appreciated.

Also on the programme list is an outreach event by the school set for March and April BEFORE AN exhibition and grand durbar climaxes the year-long celebration in July next year o be followed by a thanksgiving Mass.

The aim of the celebration is to construct a modern wash/bath room for the school whose current population of 900 students uses 40 wash rooms, a situation which is not enough according to the schools authorities.

The school has produced great individuals who have gone on to do great things in the field of science, education, politics and more, and it is hoped they would contribute in making this wish come good at the end of this celebration.
