Cape Town (AFP) - South African police on Thursday fired stun grenades to disperse angry protesters outside parliament ahead of President Jacob Zuma's annual state on the nation address, AFP reporters witnessed.

Small clashes erupted near the assembly building in central Cape Town as police pushed back various protest groups, including from the Economic Freedom Fighters (EFF) opposition party.
