Accra, May 3, GNA - A recent independent research commissioned by the Vodafone Group in all its markets and conducted by P3 Communications, revealed that Vodafone Ghana is the best in voice quality with the fastest 3G+ internet speed.

The research covered the performance of Vodafone Ghana in comparison with the major telecommunication operators in the country, measuring parameters like call set-up and drop rates, as well as downloads and uploads speed.

Mrs Patricia Obo-Nai, the Chief Technical Officer, Vodafone Ghana, made the findings known to the media at a launch of the company's "Network Campaign" in Accra.

The campaign seeks to offer customers the needed confidence backed by an independent research to better use their network service.

She said the company had over the years extended its network sites from 594 in 2008 to over 2,000 network sites currently, while enhancing its data service sites from 193 in 2011 to 807 nationwide currently.

Mrs Obo-Nai said: "Vodafone has upgraded its core network and new data platform with additional software features.

"The latest outcome is the bullet-proof of the consistent strides the company has undertaken to improve its overall network," she said.

She said the company would continue to invest in the network to remain the best in voice clarity and fastest internet speed.

Mr Haris Broumidis, the Chief Executive Officer, Vodafone Ghana, said the company had invested close to 700 million dollars in their systems and network to bring it to an international standard in conformity with the dictates of the Vodafone Group.

He said the company's strategy was to provide unmatched customer experience and ensure that its customers were empowered to become all they want to be based on the platform provided.

"P3 Communications research is an endorsement of our hard work and it is our responsibility to continue working assiduously in ensuring consistency in network resilience," he said.
