This is not going to affect only the lay off workers, but the mango farmers especially the yilo krobo mangoes farmers, since 63% of blueskies mangoes is from yilo.

The reduction in the labour force will have a significant correlated impact on the quantity to mangoes intake this season. Meaning blueskies will buy less mangoes this season , should they carried out their planned labour reduction.

This planned labour reduction is as a result of high cost of production, precipated by frequent power outages(dumsor).

The reduction in the size of labour force will mean that there will be reduction in the number of workers needed to process the fruits to the normal factory capacity. Hence buy less fruits.

Mango farmers will either sell the mangoes cheaply to blueskies or may have to find market outside ghana since all other fruit juice producers are suffering from the same situation.

woe unto farmers who have no partners outside ghana.

The Dumsor situation is not throwing only blueskies , its workers out of business but the Mango Farmers as well.

We cannot supply more mangoes because blueskies is laying off it staff needed to process our mangoes, since they (blueskies) will be processing under less labour capacity.

The MiDA packhouse operated by ?#?Cotton_Weblink? will not have enough storage space to accomodate the harvested mangoes on the krobo zone which will" not find it way to" blueskies, due to the anticipation of more mangoes to be harvested this season.

Considering the cost incurred on Agro chemicals, ploughing , Prunning ,Fuel ,salaries etc. We only wish government take a quick decision to curtail this power crisis. Else the mango farmer is going to be at the losing end.
