Aborted Foetus Dumped On Field

A foetus believed to be six months old was aborted and dumped at the Wassa Akropong town park of the Western Region in the early hours of yesterday.

Most of the residents were in a state of shock when they woke up yesterday morning to hear the news.

According to sources, the foetus was found by a section of the residents who were walking on the park to their farms and work places early Monday morning.

They raised an alarm that attracted majority of people to the scene.

Several individuals thronged the area to catch a glimpse of the foetus which was in its advanced stage of development.

A few of the residents who spoke to DAILY GUIDE disclosed that they had no knowledge of the individual who dumped the foetus on the football field.

'Nobody knows who this lady could be but we have informed the Wassa Akropong police about it,' one of them said.

Most of the people who were interviewed said they believed that the lady who might have carried out the barbaric act lived in the area.

Others also held the view that it could be someone far from the vicinity who came to dump the baby in the early hours of Monday.

An eyewitness, Paa Kwesi Rivers, stated that the police were informed about the case and hoped that they would arrive to take care of the situation.

As at the time of filing this report, the police had not arrived yet.
