Asokwa (Ash), April 27, GNA - Mrs Akosua Konadu Osafo, General Manager of UTRAK Savings and Loans Limited, has urged individuals, business organisations and corporate bodies in the financial sector, to support the operations of the Ghana Police Service.

She said the Police had the herculean task of ensuring law and order in society, so that people could go about their legitimate activities peacefully.

Mrs Osafo made the call at the handing-over of a renovated office facility for the Asokwa District Police Command of the Ghana Police Service at Asokwa in Kumasi.

She explained that it took an atmosphere of orderliness, peace and tranquility for any business or human activity to thrive fruitfully and successfully, hence her company's gesture.

The General Manager said the windows and doors to the offices were changed to burglar-proof, the walls re-painted, while curtains and a computer and printer were provided to improve the performance of work of the police.

She recounted that the project was started in 2014 as part of UTRAK's social responsibility, and that it marked the beginning of greater collaboration between her outfit and the Police, to make life meaningful for people in the area.

Deputy Superintendent of Police, George Bawa, the Asokwa District Police Commander, commended the management and staff of UTRAK Savings and Loans Limited for their kind gesture, and said it would go a long way to boost the morale of his men, to give of their best.

He, however, appealed to other individuals, organisations and corporate institutions to emulate the good example of UTRAK, and support the police to serve the nation efficiently.
