Satire of A Two Face Confused Image of NPP UK Branch
25.04.2015 LISTEN

NPP UK branch is undeniably confused because it is a group with one head, but has a two face image, facing different directions, and risibly claiming to be focusing on one objective target.

One of the faces looks seriously grumpy, expressly malevolent in thought, red face, bloodred eyes, with a forehead covered in wrinkled marks of concern. This part of one and the same head has been perpetually thoughtful and scheming for ways and means to crush the other complementing part of the same head.

To the other direction is a face opposite the same head with a joyful, smiley and welcoming posture. This face appears seriously and positively focused.

If there is a pot into which flows hot and cold water, the result is tepid water.

If a vehicle driver is pressing down both accelerator and brakes at the same time, the brake pads burn, with speed impeded.

If an Infantry commander gets confused, his troops perish in a battle

Whiles NPP UK Branch is of a two face image, there is surely confusion and dysfunction.

But whose fault is it that NPP UK Branch has been plunged into such a confused state?

From the day of the Branch elections that imported so much talked about controversy, there emerged a policy of woe onto the conquered. Acrimonious references to outgoing executives incident to the day of the elections, coupled with an Afari Djan - style of controversial outcome of the results, started a reign of terror embodying cronyism. Like minds with like intents began to hover for support; a support for agenda 2020 activists to torpedo an Akufo-Addo leadership of NPP, and a subsequent Akufo-Addo and Bawumia presidency.

CENAB emerged from Akufo-Addo for 2016. Akufo-Addo for 2016 was given birth to from NPP UK Branch, under the former executives of the Branch.

What the entire Party membership thought was that the Akufo-Addo agenda, wasgoing to be an agenda to be pursued by the Branch as a whole, with the executives at the forefront, because we all clamoured for his return to the leadership of the party to salvage Ghana from the Mahamah administration.

People may be asking, why CENAB UK, that has replaced Akufo-Addo for 2016 is seen as a distinct group in the UK Branch, causing the chagrin of the UK Branch executives?

When a persona non grata like Kwame Opoku Agyeman was hired by opponents of Nana Addo for the NPP leadership, to do their dirty work for them, a UK Branch that had univocally sent Nana Addo on a mission, kept mute, and to allow for Nana Addo's image to be dragged in fetid mud. Then began in earnest, an Akufo-Addo promotion team that came to counter, and fought Kwame Poku Agyeman back. This became the seed nut that germinated into a magnificent ornamental tree be recognised as Akufo-Addo for 2016 campaign group.

Akufo-Addo for 2016 campaign group comprised all the former executives, who, without mincing their words, approved of his candidature for the party leadership. Having so pushed him to the front, they have had to continue in offering him their moral and personal support.

The major cause of discontent is that, whereas CENAB UK, which membership comprises all the former executives, and it is in alliance with a broad coalition of patriots and supporters of Akufo-Addo and Bawumia presidency, the current "elected" executives find it odd that their predecessors are grouped into CENAB.

Secondly, the existence of Akufo-Addo for 2016 was bitterly contested by Michael Ansah, John Kissi, David Yianomah, Veronica Heming, all of whom are UK executives, and their supporters of varied thinking and persuasion. Had it not be the tenacity and resilience of the leadership of the group, Akufo-Addo for 2016 group would have been aborted, and CENAB UK wouldn't have been.

Countless invitations to programmes and events have been sent to Michael Ansah and his executives opportunities, all of which have been turned down. Apart from Nana Addo himself trying to forge cooperation, the efforts of emissaries of cooperation, including Dr Bawumia, and Nana Obiri Boahen have been up to nothing. A Dan Botwe for president is what has preoccupied the mind and soul of a Michael Ansah - led UK NPP executive's thinking.

Michael Ansah and Co persistently insist that CENAB UK must be dissolved. Period!!!

When asked if Michael Ansah and his team of executives have any road map for a Nana Addo campaign, then would begin his empty and divergent rhetoric.

The mindset behind what has been consistently driving against CENAB UK is that, if CENAB UK is allowed to operate smoothly, in conjunction with CENAB USA, and CENAB Ghana, agenda 2020 will not be realised, as Akufo-Addo success in the 2016 elections would remain their threatened impediment.

I challenge any member of the UK Branch executives to challenge me that the above statement is not true about them, and I will ask why then are they worried about a campaign group that is working and supporting our one and only elected presidential candidate for the 2016 elections, and his running mate?

I am hereby concluding that, the smiley face of the head is CENAB UK, a cheerful face, focused and full of confidence. The grumpy and worried face is a section of the Branch executives, the protagonists of agenda 2020, and those who hate to see NPP in power, with Nana Addo and Dr Bawumia in the driving seat as President and vice President of Ghana.
