Xenophobia: Why Justify The Injustice
22.04.2015 LISTEN

Until 16 th April 2015, the word ” XENOPHOBIA” was just an English word in my lexicon. I seek answers to questions like: Is it not foolishness for a slave to think for once that he can succeed the master at the death or dethronement? Please wont it require training and personal decision to build the dream and the inborn passion to be a king? Let’s just assume that the slave never knew that kingship is groomed from Prince hood.

Won’t it be diabolical to replace a medical doctor with a street boy? But is it not madness for a lazy man to think that the only way to secure his future is to displace a trained scholar with a kitchen knife? And won’t it be quite preposterous to live by the sword than by the pen and positive instincts? I assume YES to all those puzzles emanating from my soulish contemplation.

AFRICA is known for honesty, God- fearing and peacefulness. I celebrate heroes like Nelson Mandella, Marcus Garvey, Thomas Sankara, Ahmed al- Abass, AlmamySuluku, Steve Biko one of the most influential African leaders and was among the founders of South African Students Organization( SASO)for the purpose of unity. And Martin Luther King not because they are blacks but because they refused to be blinded by the color of their skin, they refused to pay credence to deceptive comment from any angle that is not in alignment with Freedom and Justice.

But upon a second thought on the epigram “ freedom and justice” rooted in the soul and upon the thumb of the freedom fighters both defunct and living, does it make our parliamentary proceedings routinely diplomatic or there is just no room for implementation , hence Justification of our villainous act. Dr. Kwame Nkrumah proved to us vividly that Freedom and Justice is not a noun but a verb- demands strategic planning and implementation. If our predecessors had walk and work with the motive that vandalizing the next equally blacked-skin neighbor next door was the way to their breakthrough we wouldn’t have been reading this article. LESSON: Actions have long term generational consequences.

Has our constitution become hocus- pocus or we have just lost focus? NO Ofcourse.

Justice is the ability to see difference to pass a verdict and make sure the good and the bad are not rewarded equally, Hence the maxim of equity: he that seek equity must come with clean hands.

Freedom is the tendency to live together despite the color of the skin or the difference in opinions we share, without covetousness.

BLACK IS NATURAL – LETS ARISE AND TERMINATE XENOPHOBIA !!!!!!!
