Busunya (B/A), April 27, GNA - Dr Peter Osei Fosu, 50, Assistant Registrar at University of Ghana, Legon has picked nomination forms at the Nkoranza North Constituency Office of the New Patriotic Party (NPP) to contest the forthcoming parliamentary primary elections.

Dr Osei-Fosu is contesting the incumbent NPP Member of Parliament (MP) Major Derek Oduro (Rtd).

He told the Ghana News Agency at Busunya that with his experience as a professional teacher, his knowledge in Administration and in Politics he hopes to offer good leadership to his constituents if given the nod in the primaries.

Dr Osei-Fosu said it is his vision to promote human capacity development in the district and also assist in the improvement of the road network in the communities to lead the area in the 2016 parliamentary elections.

The aspiring MP expressed concern about low standard of education in a number of communities in the district and said he has plans to encourage and support the education of the promising youth.

According to him he has been an active member of NPP since 1992, stressing that he was even among the leading members who spearheaded the organisation of the party in Nkoranza.

He reiterated that with his personal attitude, humility, sincerity, honesty and sociability he hopes to win seat.

The Legon University Assistant Registrar said his decision to join the race was in response to the call by a number of the NPP delegates in the past four years and expressed conviction that the party would maintain the seat under his nomination as the candidate.
