Sports Minister Sends Condolence To Theodosia Okoh's Family

The Minister of Youth and Sports has learnt with deep shock the passing away of Mrs.Theodosia Salomey Okoh, the designer of the national flag and recounts the immense contributions the late Mrs. Okoh has made towards national development especially in the area of sports where her interest in hockey became paramount.

In a release signed by the head of Public Relations, Otor Plahar he said her love, passion and remarkable contributions to the development of hockey in the country did not only win her admiration but also resulted in the national hockey pitch being named after her.

By her passing, the nation has lost a national brand icon and a sports enthusiast.

"In this moment of national loss, the Minister on behalf of his Ministry and its agencies and on his own behalf sends a message of condolence to the bereaved family and the entire sports fraternity," he added.
