A TV series dubbed 'Sunshine Avenue' to be premiered

Accra, April 17, GNA - A new Television series christened 'Sunshine Avenue 'would be premiered on every Tuesday starting on April 21 on TV3 at 2030 hours to 2100 hours.

The exciting and must-watch funny satirical drama is produced by In Genius Africa, a media organisation in collaboration with Advantage Productions and Investkom Global Advisors.

The drama, full of hilarious moments, features some of Ghana's finest actors like Akofa Edjeani-Aseidu, as well as new actors and actresses selected through merits.

Mr Kwame Boadi, Director of the programme, in an interview with the Ghana News Agency at the launch said, the series depict a place of commerce, hospitality, community interaction and all manner of troubles, filled with comedy, suspense and fun.

Mr Boadi said the series shows a cosmopolitan avenue with diverse group of people capturing everyday activities in a satirical drama with lot of comical undertone with quality concept.

'The series comes with 26 episodes and plans are far advanced to go international in South Africa and Kenya, with the aim of making Ghana the hub for net exporters of TV series production 'he added.

He noted that each episode comes with new stories with interesting and new characters like 'mama shee' who owns a Beauty Spa but unlucky with men, yet still has a lively passion for life while 'Osofo Joseph,' who used to be a con pastor but has now turned a new leaf and has a Church where he specialises in counselling and receiving confessions.
