Kwahumans Of Connecticut Light Up East Hartford

Ghanaians in the diaspora would always want to commemorate their socio-cultural activities that they are known with back home. One such memorable occasion was the Easter celebration of this year, held last Saturday at East Hartford in Connecticut.

The event which attracted business executives, entrepreneurs and other Ghanaian diaspora leaders in their traditional/cultural outfit was organized by the Kwahuman Association of Connecticut.

Other notable dignitaries who graced the occasion were Queen mother Nana Adoma Kyirekua, Mr. Yaw Annafi Agyemang Okofourobuo-formerly Adom / Happy FM, Grace Imo – Chief Executive Officer (ANTV).

Mr Peter Ennin, Chairman -Kwahuman Association of Connecticut, who acknowledged and encouraged the Kwahuman members for their good and outstanding work here in USA and back home in Ghana, especially in the Kwahu District, and urged them to continue.

He also highlighted some current issues that are affecting Ghanaians at home, such as standard healthcare. He revealed that, healthcare statistics shows that, 70% out of 100 home caregivers got infection from taking care of their loved ones who are sick due to lack of standard health care knowledge. He concluded urging all members to start educating their families about the use of PPE [ Personal protective equipmen] and the important of it. Also, he asked them to start collecting gloves and donate them to the health facilities in their homes, towns, and villages in Ghana.

Right after the speech, the floor was handed over to the DJ's of the night Ceaz and Eterson. They energized the room with their great sounds system which kicked people from their seats. And keeps them dancing all night until the end of the event..
