Popular entertainer and radio presenter Abeiku Santana will be contesting for the Mfantseman West constituency on the ticket of the ruling NDC, it has been confirmed.
Central Regional Chairman of the ruling National Democratic Congress (NDC) Bernard Allotey Jacobs made the revelation Wednesday morning on Accra-based radio station Peace FM.
"It is true that Abeiku Santana will contest the NDC primary for the Mfanteman West seat," he said.
The host of Okay FM 'Ekwanso Dwodwoo' also confirmed his interest in the seat when parliamentary primaries open.
It is "Indeed true" he said in an interview with Peace FM.
He is expected to make an official statement soon.
Abeiku Santana showed his political allegiance to the NDC when he campaigned for President Mahama in 2012.
His intention adds to the number of media personalities who have expressed interest in becoming MPs.
