The Senior Pastor of Soul Food Ministries International, Pastor Eddie Letsa, has bemoaned the manner in which Christians celebrate Easter. He said each year, many people including Christians disregard the biblical implication of Easter celebration to indulge in ungodly acts.

Pastor Letsa explained that Easter is a season of remembrance, love, and cleansing of oneself of his/her sins as Jesus Christ died for our sins.

He indicated that Easter has lost its relevance in all aspects of our Christian lives because the youth who consciously understand the biblical meaning of Easter have deliberately ignored spiritual occasion.

According to the man of God, more Christians have used Easter a season for ungodly acts either soliciting for sex, drinking, clubbing or trooping to the beach.

He indicated Easter has wrongly been propagated on one-side for merrymaking and chilling with stunt advertising and publicity in the media.

The media has hype very little on the biblical meaning of Easter but gave constant publicity on finest beaches, best clubs, best drinks for parties to mention but a few.

Pastor Letsa said the failure to propagate the message has reduced the essence of Easter seeing how people celebrate the occasion at wrong places and at the wrong time.

“People are celebrating the right thing at the wrong place. The reason why the country record casualties during the occasion at the beaches and other places. We need to go back to the bible and practice what is biblical,” he stated.

According to him Christians should endeavour to understand the significance of the crucifixion and resurrection of Jesus Christ.

He urged Christians to submit their lives to God during that occasion and recall the suffering of Jesus Christ who went through severe torture just to redeem us from the darkness.

Pastor Letsa has therefore asked Christians to make merry but that which will glorify the Lord.
