The German Federal Government wants to be with a special support programme for the reconstruction of the areas of Ebola in West Africa to participate in Health and Development.

The Health Minister Hermann Gröhe (CDU) and Development Minister Gerd Müller (CSU) to travel today, Tuesday, the 7 May 2015 (09.00) to the West African Ebola affected countries but first to Ghana and from there to the Ebola Areas starting from Liberia.

According to the German Ministers, they will be building the Health systems and a better crisis response in West Africa with EUR 200 million support, Germany has already contributed 195 Million EUR, so far to the fight against the Ebola epidemic in Africa.

In addition to the emergency Programme they will establish a White Helmet force planned doctors, technicians and specialists. The society for International cooperation ("Internationale Zusammenarbeit GIZ") to become a core Team said the German Health Minister Müller.

Few months ago, the German Foreign Minister Frank-Walter Steinmeier (SPD) proposed an international White Helmet force in African. So far, there is only the UN peacekeeping forces as peacekeepers but nothing similar in response to the outbreak of the Ebola epidemic.

First Station of the Ministers Gröhe and Müller is Accra, the capital of Ghana. Ghana has been spared by the Ebola epidemic, serves as a Logistics Base for supplying the most affected Countries of Liberia, Sierra Leone and Guinea.

10,000 People died since the outbreak of Ebola in the three West African countries over a year ago. These three countries were economically thrown back up to ten years.
