Nkoranza, March 30, GNA - Lieutenant Patrick Adjei, Mechanical Transport Officer of the Third Infantry Battalion in   Sunyani,   has cautioned School Cadets against rebelling against school authorities, but to learn hard to enable them pass their final examinations with good grades.

Lt. Adjei was addressing the staff and students of the Nkoranza Senior High Technical School, at the School's premises during the inauguration of a 60-member cadet of the school, comprising 33 males and 27 females.

He deplored the negative attitudes and practices of some school cadets who posed themselves as soldiers, and went contrary to the rules and regulations as school cadets, and advised them to avoid those behaviours because the law would not spare them for going wrong.

Lt. Adjei commended the Headmistress of the school, the staff as well as the Board of Governors, for organizing the cadet to promote discipline, leadership and voluntary spirit among the students.

Mr. Godfred Axolu, Nkoranza Municipal Director of Education,   urged the cadets to live above reproach, and exhibit good morals for other students to emulate.

Mr. Axolu called on the final year students of the school to avoid cheating, and all sorts of examination malpractices,   in order not to create problems for themselves and the school.

He also called on the cadets to keep vigil eyes on the property of the school, so as to prevent them from being stolen, adding that they should also monitor the activities of the students,   especially those who 'dodge to town'.

The Headmistress, Madam Emelia Fosu Rachel, recounted   that the Cadet was started in 2009,   adding that some of the promising students of the cadet who were among the first group of cadets have managed to join the Army, the Police Service and the Ghana Fire Service.

Madam Rachel expressed gratefulness to the Parent-Teacher Association (PTA) of the school, for supporting the cadet with uniforms, to enhance their activities.

Mr. Alex Ofori-Adjei, Chairman of the PTA, gave the   assurance that he and his group would continue to support the Cadets in the discharge of their duties, to move the school forward.
