Ghanaians Must Replicate Nigeria's Election Results In The 2016 Elections!

Opposition leader and former military ruler of Nigeria, Muhammadu Buhari has won the presidential elections held in Nigeria days ago! And he has become the first opposition leader to win a presidential election in Nigeria. The president-elect of Nigeria won on the ticket of All Progressives Party (APC), beating President Goodluck Jonathan by more than 2.5 million votes. Indeed, the Nigerian masses have demonstrated political maturity through these election results!

Moreover, my candid observation from afar as a Ghanaian tells me why President Goodluck Jonathan lost the elections. I frankly believe that Nigerians voted against their president because his government was apparently bedevilled by alleged corrupt practices! Also, the growing economy of this oil-rich country did not reflect in the lives of the ordinary citizens! And the major reason is the growing insurgency of Islamist Militants, Boko Haram which has destroyed many lives and properties!

Therefore, I encourage the Ghanaian masses to replicate Nigeria's election results in Ghana! We must punish our politicians for failing to increase our standard of living, in order to deter subsequent governments! And we should not be deceived by blind politics into accepting the mediocrity of the incumbent government! At least, we can vote out this government for failing to solve our power crisis over the years! But my worry is that we do not have credible opposition parties, because they would certainly do same or even worse!
