SIC Insurance pays over GH¢32.5million in claims in 2014; an increases of 57% over previous year

SIC Insurance Company Limited paid over GH¢32.5million in claims in the year ending 2014 in line with its objective to settle legitimate claims promptly.

This figure represents a 57% increase compared with the 2013 figure of GH¢20.7million.

With this move, the company says it is returning substantial parts of premium mobilized to its customers who suffer one form of lose or another.

This was made known during a media interaction with the Management of the company led by the Acting Managing Director, Mr. Kwei Mensah Ashidam.

"So far this year, the company has paid overGH¢4.6million in claims. By this SIC Insurance, the country's largest risks underwriter is still leading the way in claims payment in the industry", Mr. Ashidam said.

“With the coming into effect of the SIC Insurance's new claims code, the company has put in place a more efficient process to shorten the turnaround time for claims processing. This, the company believes is their commitment to achieving a stress-free claims process”, he added.

Mr. Ashidam stressed the company is very focused on delivering on its core mandate and is innovatively looking at new ways of increasing efficiency to improve operations as it secures its position as the leader in the insurance industry.

He said despite the challenges that have confronted the company in recent times, SIC Insurance remains resilient and poised to offer quality products and services to its numerous clients through its widest nationwide locations.
