SIC Insurance Pays Over GH¢32.5m  Claims

SIC Insurance Company Limited, the nation's largest non-life insurance company paid over GH¢32.5million in claims in the year ending 2014 in line with its objective to settle legitimate claims promptly.

This figure represents a 57 percent increase over the 2013 figure of GH¢20.7million.

This was made known during a media interaction with the management of the company led by the Acting Managing Director, Kwei Mensah Ashidam.

According to Mr. Ashidam, so far this year, the company has paid over GH¢4.6million in claims. SIC Insurance, the country's largest risks underwriter, is still leading the way in claims payment in the industry.

With the coming into effect of the SIC Insurance's new claims code, the company has put in place a more efficient process to shorten the turnaround time for claims processing.

The company is very focused on delivering on its core mandate and is innovatively looking at new ways of increasing efficiency to improve operations, as it secures its position as the leader in the insurance industry.

Despite the challenges that have confronted the company in recent times, SIC Insurance remains resilient and poised to offer quality products and services to its numerous clients through its branches across the country.
