Is HE Real Or A Figment Of The Imagination

Is HE Real Or A Figment Of The Imagination

Many critical thinkers have pondered over the story of

Jesus and have often questioned the veracity of the gospel. One of

these critical thinkers is the musician Mz Bel who believe that Jesus

does not exist but just a creation of the mind since some Egyptian

gods known as horus bored similar characteristics as the gospel of

Christ.
In starting, even if there is some
traceable consanguinity between horus and the gospel of Christ my own

investigation proves the contrary. If the Old Testament is true then

it goes without saying that, Jesus is true, see Isaiah 9:6 and the

psalm 2:7. Which all confirms the coming of Christ before his advent.

What every Christrian should know is that, right from the birth of

Jesus, the Jews and pharisees opposed every move and eventually had to

crucify him because he said he was/is the son of God. Again, Jesus

made some changes to the law of Moses which did not go down well with

the Jews. For instance, stoning adulterer and adulteress to death,

Jesus inserted the clause ' if you have no sin then you can cast the

first stone'. See John 8:3-7 The narcotic effect of the live of Jesus

is what you see in other scriptures today that there is no god but

God, and God has no son to try to annihilate the fatalistic belief in

Christ.
Since these horus were in
existence way before Christ, am yet to see or hear any activity

it/they performed in recorded history regarding scriptures.

What is more, is the fact that the gospel has taught us how to

live happily with each other in terms of who our neighbour is, and to

love your neighbour as yourself which is a pedestrian example of the

life of the' prince of peace'. Your neighbour is not one who shares

the same faith or religion with you, but every mortal. Nothing can be

compared with Christianity where the God of peace resides. In this

trying times, the noonday splendour with which Christianity is

sparkling calls for an enthusiastic embrace but not snide and

thoughtless whims.
Precisely what beats my splenetic imagination is,
whether the falcon-headed horus ever claimed to be God in any one time

in their Egyptian existence and did it/they ever prophesy any coherent

thing that came or is yet coming to pass?
However, Christians can comfortably
call Jesus God because the scriptures say so. See John 14:8-9. And

also Mathew 1:23 and really I became more faithful when I read

Revelation 1:17. Yes, moreover, it is only God who can raise Lazarus

from death and many others. Also, it is only God who can prophesy

things to come like what we see in John 16:2 and I quote ' They shall

put you out of the Synagogues: yea, the time cometh, that whosoever

killeth you will think that he does God service'. Are followers of

Christ and/or perceived followers of Christ not seen as animals and

being butchered everyday in confirmation of the above quote?

The unavailing consolation to every Christian is the

reception of the Holy Ghost which Jesus breathed into his followers.

This instance can be seen in John 20:22 .
Regarding corruption in the
church, I will advice that we allow God to judge and brethren, do not

be jealous about what pastors are getting from preaching the undiluted

word of God. Note that the prevalence of many pastors and their

prayers in the country is a treat to evil doers and they are not

comfortable in the country. Hence they wish that something should be

done to remove pastors who it seems are bent on causing them (evil

doers & sinners) some squalid distress spiritually.

In concluding this piece, my solemn conviction is that, no

christian will take this horus fabricated tail seriously because they

know the devil is finding all means to mislead believers including

that story of that truculent ogre called horus. No one will attempt to

simulate a Demi-god/fiend and attribute it to the supreme being as

suggested by the inveterate haters of Christianity because the two are

as opposite as chalk and cheese.
