Europe A Man Caught Trying To Smuggle A Woman In His Suitcase
MAR 27, 2015 LISTEN

Two Georgian nationals were detained by Turkish security authorities after a man was caught trying to sneak a woman into Turkey inside his suitcase. In a video released by Turkish custom officials at a Turkey border Town, Sarpi trying to cross, the male, aged 25, was filmed being stopped by the security staff after he was caught "in a suspicious act" when leaving the plane.

A custom Staff demanded that the man open his suitcase. His suitcase was eventually unzipped, only to reveal a 22-year-old woman inside. Some of the officials started laughing astonishingly when they saw the woman curled up in a fatal position inside the tight space.

According to the Turkish officials, the travellers were detained and interviewed after the discovery and the woman explained, she had tried to smuggle herself into Turkey in a suitcase because a previous conviction had banned her from entering the country.

The two were later sent back to Georgia and ordered never to return. This is the second time some visitors have attempted to smuggle a woman in a suitcase into a country this month.

Somewhere around the middle of March this month, a Frenchman was also caught by the Polish border officials after he attempted to sneak his own Russian wife into Europe in a big suitcase.
