Ho, Feb. 27, GNA - Mr Daniel Fennell, Public Affairs Officer of the US Embassy in Ghana, Thursday urged students to see education as the 'spice' of life and 'embrace its sweetness.'

He said education was a 'gift' which becomes part of people for life and advised students to pursue it like 'food'.

Mr Fennell gave the advice when he interacted with students and staff of   Mawuko Girls' Senior High School in Ho.

The visit to the School was a lead-up to a workshop for media practitioners in the Volta Region sponsored by the Embassy on 'Journalism and Safety' in reporting on public health issues such as Ebola and cholera.

Mr Fennell appealed to the students not to see education as 'business as usual' but an opportunity to prepare for future and give it their all.

He therefore urged them to concentrate on their education so they could enjoy the sweetness of life after school.

Mr Fennell later interacted with children at the 'Medamfo Ghana Shelter' and presented books and other items to the two institutions.
