rFOIL reflective insulation, an innovative Canadian product that uses reflective technology to control heat in residential and commercial property, has been launched in Accra.

The product, which was unveiled by the Christopher Thornley, Canadian High Commissioner to Ghana, comes as single or double layer of polyethylene and sandwiched between a radiant barrier metalized foil and white  polyethylene sheet.

rFOIL prevents interior condensation in all types of metal and metal-clad buildings.

The product, which is non-toxic and non-carcinogenic, has the capacity to block 97 percent of radiant heat transfer, reduce heating and cooling costs and prevent interior condensation.

It's Class One and A fire rated, puncture and tear resistant, easy to handle and install and does not promote mold and mildew.

The product could be applied on per-engineered steel buildings, post frame/pole barns, agricultural buildings, residential metal roofs, mini storage and livestock confinement, among others.

The Canadian envoy, in his remarks, underscored the growing commercial relationship between Canada and Ghana, stating that 'Ghana is our third largest sub-Saharan African market.

The launch highlighted the conclusion of a distributor agreement between Canada's Covertech Fabrication INC, the manufacturers and Home Decor and Construction Ghana, sole distributor of rFOIL Reflective Insulation in Ghana.
