Obinim Ruling Adjourned
26.02.2015 LISTEN

The submission of no case by Bishop Daniel Obinim, founder of Godsway International Ministry, and his two associate pastors on trial for allegedly vandalizing the property of Hot Fm, an Accra-based radio station, will be determined on March 5, 2015.

When the case was called yesterday the Accra High Court Judge announced that he would give a ruling on the said date.

Samuel Atta Akyea is counsel for the accused persons while Joyce Buerko Debrah is the prosecuting state attorney.

The suspects filed a submission of no case and wanted the charges against them dropped because they claimed the state had failed to pin them to the offence for which they are being charged.

The investigator in the case, Detective Inspector Bismark Adu-Gyamfi, finished his evidence last year relative to the trial of Obinim, Baah and Kofi Kwetey.

The investigator had denied claims that the crowbar allegedly used by the bishop was his (investigator's) invention.

The accused persons reportedly vandalized property including transmitters and amplifiers, estimated at GH¢130,580.
