Evangelism is the core business of the Church-Moderator

The Moderator of the General Assembly of the Presbyterian Church of Ghana, Right Reverend Professor Emmanuel Martey, has reminded agents and leaders of the Church that the core business of the Church is evangelism.

He has therefore urged them to intensify their evangelistic strategies in order to win more souls for Christ.

The Moderator said this when he addressed agents and presbyters of the Church as part of his six-day working visit to the Asante Presbytery at the Ramseyer Congregation in Kumasi on Thursday.

The Moderator expressed concern about the slow growth of the Church and blamed the situation on the lukewarm attitude of some leaders of the Church at all levels towards evangelism.

Rev Professor Martey therefore urged them to make more resources available for evangelism in order to win more souls for the Kingdom of God.

He commended the Asante Presbytery for appointing a full time Director of Mission and Evangelism and urged the leadership of the Presbytery to make resources available to him to perform.
